The intelligent building, with the support of new technologies and networks, allows coordinated, integrated and computerised management of technological systems, to improve the flexibility, comfort, safety and security, energy savings and to improve the quality of living and working within the buildings, the strong point of the Building Automation,in matters of safety and security resides in the fact that in a building it is possible to provide a series of services among which: management/access control, antifire protection, anti-intrusion, anti-theft, perimeter anti-fire protection, anti.flooding, smoke or gas-leaks, environmental video-surveillance locally and at distance, alarm management, productive activities management and company control processes. In the intelligent building automation system sector, the data infrastructure is very important. This has to be able to develop, therefore presenting remarkable dynamic features. The chance to be able to carry out changes to the data structure becomes basic for a good evolution, leaving always open the possibility of future expansions. A building automation system is completed, usually, through one or more comunication systems with the external world (for example prerecorded phone messages, SMS, or e-mail) to allow the control and the visualisation of the status even in remote.
